The Official Bali Swing Is The Most Fun You Can Have As A Grown Up
Choose your adventure – with it’s highest swing a dizzying 78 metres above the ground (that’s 20 storeys above the forest canopy!), the famous Bali Swing, near Ubud is pretty much an adult amusement park. But you can warm up on the lower swings – just 10m – and enjoy some of the little-known extra combo experiences with your swing.
Think pics in a giant hanging nest over the forest, posing in a make-shift helicopter or boat, or rent a cheesy floaty dress (yes, they do costume rentals here!) for your ultimate Bali holiday Instagram shot. And then, try one of these…

2 Go Ape: Swing, Then Get Pick-pocketed By A Monkey
You can pair your swing with a monkey experience! See, there’s a Hindu belief that Balinese long-tailed Macaques could be reincarnated humans, hence all the monkey temples in Ubud’s Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. But, be warned: the Asian Long-tail Macaques are not that fussed about manners or morals. They’ll only approach you if you have food and might even snatch a bag of snacks from your bag. Pro tip: load up on the bananas for sale at the sanctuary when you go and visit these awesome jungle creatures as part of a Bali Swing combo.

Good to know
Where is the official Bali Swing location?
We get that question a lot: “Where is the swing in Bali?” It’s because the Bali Swing shot is SO famous on Insta, some places around the island have tried to make their own versions and pass it off as the real deal. Not true, the official Bali Swing is the one in Ubud, the south of the island. It’s about 40 mins’ drive from Bali Palms.
Is the Bali swing dangerous?
Not really. You are well secured on the swing, with harnesses and the works – it’s a professional business, so they take your safety very seriously. That said, though, it’s still a swing, suspended high up in the forest, so there is some risk involved, naturally.
How much does Bali swing cost?
You can actually do all 7 different types/heights of swings for just $35 (US), which is a great deal, because it also includes a lunch buffet and drinks. Then, rafting with a swing is around $70 and an elephant ride is about $110, but those actually include lunch and transport to and from your lodgings, which is awesome. So bargain on about $35–$110 per person for the Bali Swing.
